Being able to make coffee like today or like before…

The Réminiscence coffee maker, a prospective industrial design project for Peugeot. This is a French car manufacturer founded by Armand Peugeot, of the Peugeot family in 1896. The Peugeot brand belongs to the PSA Peugeot Citroën group. It is famous today thanks to its cars but it began in the nineteenth century by household coffee mills, which are still found in all the attic empties of France. The company began its coffee mill industry around 1840 in the Doubs.

Everything we see, smell and taste contributes to the pleasure of drinking coffee, providing a unique experience with it. Also, the principle is that the best way to accentuate the sensory relationship with coffee and return to a system of creation + natural where it is possible to touch, observe, smell the coffee bean.

With this in mind, the product incorporates a detachable manual coffee grinder at will. This consists of a standard internal structure of the old coffee grinder and will thus allow to manually grind the coffee beans while preserving to the maximum their aromas and flavors. Then, a permanent pod supplied with the product will re-adapt the ground coffee to the dose system that we know well.
